I’d forgotten the power of this word. I’d forgotten the power of sacrifice encountered on the front lines of people familiar with my battlefield. I’d forgotten that even the mercy of God is unadulterated power. I’d forgotten humility.
I’m going to church today. Again. It’s a church that reaches out to a group of the disenfranchised who humble me with their faith.
