Why call it cancelling church?
Just a quick thought for today. I was at Kamps and another great blogger was talking about how they cancelled church so that the people who attend that church could go throw a party for a bunch of neighbors of theirs that happen to be refugees from countries like Sudan and Iraq and places like that. You’d think the obvious question would be, how did all those refugees wind up neighbors to Mars Hill? But the one that popped up in my head was, why did you think of it as cancelling church? What is church if it’s not a bunch of Christians taking the good news of the gospel to their neighbors by serving them?
You aliens sure are confusing sometimes. (grin)
